Samuel W. Ntiros


Mr. Ntiros graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, receiving a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in the areas of communications and digital signal processing. Mr. Ntiros has a wide range of patent law experience representing domestic and foreign clients in the areas of patent prosecution, opinion preparation, technology licensing, due diligence studies, and client counseling. In the area of client counseling, Mr. Ntiros has managed patent portfolios of corporate clients from the initial stage of setting up a patent asset recognition and protection plan for guiding innovative technology development, to the intermediate stage of obtaining patent protection for that technology, to the final stage of negotiating agreements for licensing the patented technology. Mr. Ntiros has also prepared opinions for guiding product development for purposes of designing around competitors' patents. Mr. Ntiros has also argued before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences and provided litigation support for multiple patent infringement lawsuits before the U.S. Federal District Courts of New York, Virginia and Texas. Mr. Ntiros has prosecuted patent applications covering wireless, optical, and satellite-based communications systems, computer memories and processing architectures, software-related inventions, imaging systems, business methods, and various semiconductor integrated circuit devices and chip fabrication methods. Mr. Ntiros has also prosecuted applications covering mechanical inventions and has experience in two patent interferences relating to chemical inventions.
